Bio & Philosophy

Kelly Ye was born in Hangzhou, China. At 15, she moved to Thousand Oaks, California, to pursue her academic life, starting at La Reina High School. She is currently finishing up her Bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Music Theory Composition at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.

As a music educator, Kelly believes that every child has an equal right to receive the best music instructions, despite the different socioeconomic status, cognitive abilities, and music aptitude. Kelly believes that music is an irreplaceable part of a child's journey through life, and that part of the journey should be fulfilled by a welcoming and engaging classroom that allows every child to safely express themself both artistically and personally.
